Weigh In- Week 3

Another week has gone by and so many more to come.

I worked my butt off this week.  I worked out last Friday morning, I know Friday morning, crazy!  If you really knew me then you would know I normally NEVER workout on Friday.  Now that I get up in the morning and work out it’s a lot easier.  We normally do something fun on Friday nights so I never wanted to come home from work and have to take another shower and get ready to go out.

I worked out this week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and this morning.  I have started to keep track in my phone my total distance and calories burned on the treadmill.

Monday- 3.18 miles and 425 calories burned

Tuesday- 2.59 miles and 345 calories burned

Wednesday- 2.90 and 400 calories burned

Friday- 3.26 and 400 caloried burned

The scale this morning read…..

174

That’s down 4 lbs from last week with a total weight loss of 6 lbs.  I have 8 days to lose 4 lbs to reach my goal of 10 lbs lost by Nov 11th, our engagement picture session.

Tomorrow my best friend, mother and I are going shopping for bridesmaid dresses.  I may try on a few wedding dresses and I am sure that will motivate me more.

Luke is out of town next week Wednesday through Friday so I am going to have to get my workouts in Sunday through Wednesday before he leaves.

Trick or Treating

I decided on Halloween to take off early from work, go pick up Lakelyn from daycare, put on her outfit and take her to Luke’s work to surprise him.  So at 3:45pm I left work and headed to her daycare.  When I got there she was nowhere to be found.  They told me that Luke had just come and got her.

I call Luke 4 times and he finally answers.  I asked him where he was and he said on his way to come see me.  He had the same thought and got off early, went and got her dressed and was heading to my work to surprise me.

Great minds think a like!

So we ended up meeting at my work place and then went to his.  Everyone could not get over how cute she looked!  I had to agree!

We then headed home, had dinner and got ready for trick or treating.

Before trick or treating I wanted to get some pictures of Lakelyn.   Lakelyn only had an hour nap at daycare so she was already fussy and trying to keep her attention during pictures was nearly impossible.  However I did get a few good ones.

Towards the end of the picture taking I was distracting her with candy to play with.  She thought the long tootsie was a good pick!

After we got done taking pictures we headed out for trick or treating.  Luke got her strapped into the stroller and we walked down a few streets to meet up with some friends.  It was about a 5 min walk.  Once we got there I went to get Lakelyn out of her stroller and noticed she still had the tootsie roll and only a 1/4 of it was left!  She had been eating that tootsie roll the whole time we were walking, and I mean wrapper and all!  She had chocolate all over her face and hands.  I should have taken a picture but I couldn’t believe she ate that with the wrapper and took her inside to get her cleaned up.

After a few drinks we headed out with all the kids for some trick or treating.  Along the way Luke’s parents met up with us to see Lakelyn.

We got back to our house around 8:30 and Lakelyn fell asleep along the way.  She normally goes to bed around 7:30pm now so she was pooped!

We stripped off her costume and put her in bed.  She was a sleepy bug!

Fast and Easy Chicken and Rice

Luke and I tend to have the same meals each week. Hot dogs, hamburgers, spaghetti, boiled chicken and out to eat at least once if not twice a week.

Luke is on a quick and easy dinner recipe search.  And since I am dieting he is trying to find healthy as well.

Monday night we made Easy Chicken and Rice.  We were both hesitant on how it was going to turn out.

We were pleasantly surprised with how fast, easy and amazing this recipe was!

<<Ingredients>>

1 lb chicken tenders (we used one package which I think is a little over a pound)

1 (16oz) can chicken broth

1 (10 oz) can rotel (we used medium)

1 cup white rice

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste

 <<Directions>>

1.  Using a large deep skillet or fan pour in chicken broth and rotel (undrained)

2.  Stir in cup of rice

3.  Lay chicken tenders on top of rice and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper to your liking

4.  Cover and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or until chicken is done- stir occasionally

5.  Remove from heat and sprinkle with cheese- stir slightly to melt cheese.

Enjoy!
