Bump #2- 14 Weeks

After my doctors appointment this last week they have changed my due date from April 25th to April 23rd, so bump updates will not be on Wednesdays.

I am finally starting to get my energy back this week.  I am hoping to return to the gym next week.  I kind of miss it!

I can’t believe Christmas is exactly 2 months away!

My “baby” is going to be 2 in less than 30 days!  And I am going to turn 29 in less than 30 days!

Lots coming up in the next few months!

How Far Along:  14 Weeks

Size of baby: Lemon

Total Weight Gain/Loss: +7 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Yes, but only pants.

Gender: Unknown

Movement:  None

Symptoms: Starting to get my energy back!

Sleep: Great!

What I miss: Beer, margaritas…really anything alcoholic.

Cravings: Nothing really.

Next Appointment: Nov 7th

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender!

Differences in last pregnancy:

Last Appointment review:  I finally got to meet my doctor at my last appointment and I REALLY like her.  It was quick appointment to ask if I had any questions and to schedule my sono appointment which is Dec 5th.  Luke and I decided to have the optional genetic testing done.  Not because we would abort our baby if it had any but so that we could better prepare ourselves for the situation.  I had my blood drawn on Monday October 21st and will have the results in 7-10 business days.  With this new test (Maternit21) they can not only tell you if your baby have any chromosomal defects but can also tell you the gender of your baby!  So we should know if we are having a boy or another girl next week sometime!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

This past weekend we met some friends in Lawrence KS and went pumpkin picking.

Lakelyn called it pumpkin pitching.

I FINALLY got my apple cider slush and it was everything I wanted it to be except I would have liked to have more.

I also scored me a bag of kettle popcorn, another favorite!

Luke found Lakelyn a pumpkin her size and even though it was a little soft we still bought it because Lakelyn loved carrying it around.

The kids did excellent and had a great time walking around in the pumpkin patch!

Throwback Thursday

I have FINALLY started working on Lakelyn’s picture baby book.  I have 0-6 months done and about a third of the 6-12 month book done.  I LOVE how her first book turned out and can’t wait to get the last half done.

My favorite part of the project was looking back at all the photos.  Seeing how much Lakelyn has changed and reminiscing in memories.  Most of the pictures I can remember taking and can vividly remember the day.  Life passes you by so quickly and I think even quicker when you have children.  It’s so nice to look back and remember all the great memories.

Daddy's Girl!

It’s amazing how much Lakelyn has changed in just a year.  She has so much more hair and an even bigger personality!

Still Best of Buds!

Love her so much!

Life Lately

A couple weekends ago my cousin got married and had a masquerade ball wedding.  I was so happy to see them get married to each other they truly are two people meant to be together, they complement each other perfectly!

We also took our boat out for the last time or so we thought.  Luke and his buddy rode doubles, they had a blast!

Lakelyn is very into reading books right now and insist on it before bed.

Lakelyn needs to grow about 1 more inch and she will be able to try and peddle her bike.  For now its tippy toes!

Of course this tray was made for her feet.

Lakelyn kissing the baby in the Big Sister book.

I made pumpkin chex mix/puppy chow and it was AMAZING!

My mom and grandma came to visit Lakelyn last week and left her some new toys.  These blocks are her current new favorite, she stacked most of these on her own, I was impressed.

This past Sunday we took the boat out for the final time.  Luke had to get the oil hot to change it and it ended up being such a nice day he went ahead and boarded.  It was a great day to end the summer boating season.

With this gorgeous weather we have had lots of outside time which we ALL enjoy.  Molly loves to sunbathe; Lakelyn thought she was sleeping so kept petting her telling her night night.

Lakelyn helped Luke get the boat ready for winter.

Super baby BIG GIRL!
