Bump #2- 10 Weeks

It’s my first bump date!

I am going to do these every other week, I don’t feel like enough changes each week to update on a weekly basis.

I didn’t do these with Lakelyn and wished I had so I could look back and compare the two.  Who knows if there will be a baby #3 so I might as well do them just in case!

How Far Along: 10 Weeks

Size of baby: About the size of a Prune, 1.2 inches and .14oz.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +2lbs
Maternity Clothes: Nope
Gender: Unknown
Movement:  None
Symptoms: Extremely tired and hungry all.the.time, I also get heartburn easier then I use to. My face is breaking out horribly; I never had this issue with Lakelyn.
Sleep: I get up once a night to pee and for some reason my shoulders hurt when I sleep.
What I miss: BEER, I really want a fall beer!
Cravings: Apple Pie Slush- hopefully I get one this weekend!

Next Appointment: October 15th

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender!

Differences in last pregnancy: I don’t remember being this tired with Lakelyn and the heartburn starting so early.  Plus my hips, knees and shoulders hurt.

Last Appointment review:  Our last appointment was our first appointment on September 16th.  The doctor’s office scheduled me at 8 weeks when they should have waited until 10.  Therefore we didn’t get to hear the baby’s heart rate.  They scheduled a dating sonogram the next day.  Luke came to both of these appointments with me.  The next day at the sono we got to see our tiny baby and they measured the heart rate to be 171.  My due date is April 25th, 2014.

Exciting News!

I am finally back and I have some exciting news to share!  If you haven’t already noticed a new tab has been added above, baby #2!

Luke and I are expecting our second child and Lakelyn is going to be a big sister!  We could not be more excited!!

As you know we were trying for this baby.  I think trying for a baby is a lot harder than the opps baby!  So much thought goes into thinking about when the right time is.  I think you can always find reasons for why you should have a baby or why to wait.

On Aug 12th my period hadn’t come, which was unusual.  I had bought a pregnancy test over the weekend and took it first thing in the morning, it was negative.  That afternoon I had a dermatology appointment to have a mole removed.  While there they asked if I could be pregnant, I said there was a possibility, so they had me take a pregnancy test, it was negative.  Although all signs said negative I just felt like I was.  No symptoms just an internal gut feeling.

That weekend was my work summer party which I knew I would be drinking at.  I wanted to make 100% sure before the party that I wasn’t pregnant so I felt comfortable drinking.  I took another test on Aug 15th over my lunch break and saw this:

Luke and I were so excited!  I called and made my first OB appointment, which was on September 16th, this past Monday.  I was guessing I was around 8 weeks along but I have irregular periods and was guessing when my last one was.  We went to our appointment on Monday and were told they had scheduled my appointment 2 weeks early and probably wouldn’t be able to hear a heartbeat.  We were a little frustrated by this.  All I was looking forward to was hearing that heart beat to confirm at this point our baby was healthy.  Since my periods are irregular and I wasn’t 100% sure when my last one was my doctor scheduled a sonogram for the next day.

Tuesday we went to our appointment and got to see our baby and its heart beat, 171.   They also confirmed I was only a couple days off from guessing my due date.  My due date is April 25th, 2014, which makes me exactly 9 weeks pregnant today.

I wanted to try and come up with a creative way to announce our pregnancy.  There are tons of cute ideas on Pinterest, eviction notices and only child expiring.  I decided I wanted to buy Lakelyn a “Big Sister” book to “read”.  Her book finally arrived last night and so we had a little photoshoot!  Surprisingly I had quite a few good ones to pick from.  Below are the top three I liked best.  I had also made a sign but Lakelyn wanted nothing to do with it and threw a HUGE fit.  Luke is going to send out an email today to his work with one of the pics, then I will forward to my work and then finally we will post on facebook.

So far this pregnancy has gone about the same as the last one.  No morning sickness or major changes.   I never had morning sickness with Lakelyn or Braxton hicks, it was a very easy pregnancy… up until it came time to deliver.  That’s a whole other post!  I would say though with this pregnancy I have had a lot more heart burn and am super tired!

I am not going to do weekly updates until maybe the last trimester.  And I didn’t do bump pictures with Lakelyn, which I kind of regret.  However, this time around I am starting out 25lbs lighter than I did last time.  I felt like last time I just got fatter rather than a true bump.  So maybe this time I will actually get a bump and take some pictures!

TGIF!!!

Changes….

If you want to continue to follow this blog please keep reading.

As you can see I haven’t blogged in awhile.

Why?

I found out someone was reading my blog that I don’t want to.  There are certain people in my life that don’t need to know EVERYTHING about my life.
I know blogs are public (if you choose).

However I feel like I am not alone when people who have blogs don’t tell everyone they know personally about it.  It’s not because we are trying to hide anything, it’s simply because not everyone you know needs to know everything in your personal life.

As far as I know my mother is the only person that knows about my blog.
The number one reason I blog is for Lakelyn and my future children.  If anything were to ever happen to me I want her to have a place to go to and get to know me.  When she gets older and starts to rebel on me, as I did to my mother (karma is a b*ich, I am sure), I want to be able to send her to my blog and show her that I was once a girl just like her.  I made mistakes, I have regrets, I tried my best to make a perfect life for her, I know how to have fun but most of all I love her more than the world its self.

I see my blog as my personal adult diary.  I come to this place to share my stories… the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s my place to come and write and not feel judged.  If I want to write about a bad day or vent about something going on in my personal life I can do it and not worry about hurting anyone’s feelings or hold back because someone I know in my personal life might read it.  If something exciting has happened in my life and I want to share, I can.  There will always be content in my life that I am perfectly happy to share with complete strangers then with people who know me personally.
When I knew someone was reading my every thought that I didn’t want to, it changed everything.  This person doesn’t know that I know and I am not going to confront them about it. I am not going to ask someone to stop reading and hope that they do because I will never know.

I have thought and stressed about this too long.

So my only option is to change my blog name and URL and move on.  I know when I do this I will basically be starting my blog all over.  All my followers will be gone but all my old content will still be there.  I have “found” several blogs that I truly enjoy reading each day, which I think are hard to find these days.  It seems like a lot of bloggers have gone to giveaway and review posts almost every day.  I have received lots of emails over the time I have been blogging from other bloggers on post I have written that they have found helpful.  I enjoy other people reading my blog and knowing that my experiences might help them.

For obvious reasons my old blog won’t be redirected to my new blog and I won’t be posting the new URL link.

If you would like to continue to read my journey please send me an email to firstcamethebaby@hotmail.com and let me know you would like to be notified of my new URL.  Once I decide on a new URL I will send you back the link so you can become a follower of my new blog.  Once I change the URL of my blog you won’t be able to see my old blog, I plan on changing it by next Wednesday to give everyone time to see this post and send me an email.  If you blog please include your blog name so that I can follow back, I love reading new blogs!

Hopefully you will continue to follow along with me in my journey.
I have some very exciting news to post once I am back up and running!

Have a great weekend!
