The
BIG O-N-E, 1, 1, 1!! It sure doesn’t seem like a year ago Lakelyn
was born. This has been by far the best
and quickest year of my life. This month
we celebrated Lakelyn’s 1st birthday with an Owl party at our house. Her aunts, uncles, grandparents and great
grandparents came to the party.
She
also no longer eats at a high chair. Her
and her friends sit at a picnic type of table and eat lunch. This is also hard for me to vision. She takes so long to eat at home with hardly
an distractions and sits in a high chair.
I have to get a picture of it one day!
Sleeping:
You are still a great sleeper! You are still
going to bed between 7-8pm and waking up around 7am. You are now only taking one nap at daycare
and at home. At daycare your naps are in
between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. At home
they range from 2-3 hours.
Eating:
You
are still eating all big people food like a champ, slowly but surely. You are now 100% on cows milk. Daycare figured out that you drink better out
of a hard nipple sippy cup so we have switched you over. You still get a bottle in the morning and
before bed but all other times you drink from a sippy cup. You drink faster and more from a bottle and I
like to make sure are full at night before you go to bed. We have started to give you a fork and spoon
with food but you still play with it instead of use it.
Clothes: You mostly wear 12 Months clothes but have a
few 18 month pants.
Diaper: You are now wearing a size 4 diaper. The size 3’s fit great and size 4’s look huge
on you but don’t leak. We only had a
problem with them leaking over night and during nap time but it was easiest to
switch then try and keep track of 2 different size diapers.
We
also celebrated Thanksgiving this month!
It’s amazing to think this time last year you were 4 days old.
Lakelyn
is still NOT walking. She will walk along the furniture and with
any push toy but will not walk alone.
She took her time learning to crawl so I am sure she will take her time
walking!

Amazing! I know the first year goes by so fast. I wish I had done better at journalling Riley's first year.
